As coating production is a representative production enterprise in the hazardous chemicals industry, due to the wide variety of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products used in the production of coatings, and the vast majority of them are flammable, explosive, toxic and corrosive hazardous chemicals, coating enterprises want to develop with high quality and quantity. The coating production has the characteristics of short and uncomplicated process flow and strong operability. The main processes are raw materials refining, hot refining (refining), purification, mixing, grinding, paint mixing and finished product packaging. When designing the layout, the convenience of the production process will be considered first. For example, public facilities and warehouses shall be as close as possible to relevant production workshops to shorten the distance between people and logistics; The oil tank farm of raw material warehouse and the workshop of volatile paint will be considered to be arranged at the periphery of the plant to keep a certain distance to avoid fire and explosion accidents; Ordinary raw material warehouse and finished product warehouse shall be arranged close to the transportation route to facilitate the logistics in and out; The gas cylinder room or the workshop with dust shall be placed at the downwind. Of course, the area and composition of the production area (including the experimental detection area), the auxiliary area (raw material warehouse, finished product warehouse, etc.) and the office area are all designed based on the production scale as the first element.



For the coating production workshop, the fire protection system in the supporting system should be emphasized. Because the production of coatings is a process of grinding, mixing and color mixing with pigments, organic solvents, water, additives, etc. as raw materials, there are many kinds of products, so there are many kinds of raw materials. Many liquid raw materials have low flash points and are flammable and explosive organic solvents. Therefore, the fire risk of the coating workshop and raw material warehouse involving such low flash points and nitrocellulose warehouse is class A. During the design, the designer shall pay attention to the centralized introduction of the dust removal air duct and the exhaust air duct in the production area to the outdoor air at a height of 15 meters. A high fire dike can be set around the raw material warehouse and oil tank area. The indoor fire hydrant, outdoor fire hydrant and automatic sprinkler share one system, which is a stable high-pressure system. The hydrant water supply pipe network and automatic sprinkler pipe network outside the power plant shall be separated. The main pipe diameter of the automatic sprinkler system connected to the plant and warehouse is DN200.

The integration of MES system and SAP system realizes intelligent production scheduling.
